4 Axis Drive Surface
This is a continuous 4 Axis operation where the tool stays normal to selected Drive Surfaces. Gouge checking is performed against the selected Drive Surfaces. This operation is similar to 5 Axis Surface Normal machining but in continuous 4 Axis mode. The Cut Pattern options are similar to 4 Axis Parallel Finishing but with a few additional options.

The Drive Surface toolpath method is invoked by selecting the Program tab, clicking on the 4 Axis button in the Machining Browser and selecting the Drive Surface Operation.  4 Axis Drive Surface Menu Item |
