In some cases you may want to engrave alpha-numeric text onto a part surface. To do this, review the steps listed below:
For RhinoCAM:
1.Close Rhino.
2.Decide on which Windows Font you want to use to define the text. Single-stroke fonts are best for engraving because there are less curves to engrave but you can engrave any font.
3.You can use the following font if desired.
4.Locate the file MecSoft_Font-1.ttf located in the Quick Start folder. Example:
C:\ProgramData\MecSoft Corporation\RhinoCAM 2025 for Rhino 8.0\QuickStart
5.Copy MecSoft_Font-1.ttf to C:\Windows\Fonts. The font will now be installed on your computer.
6.Open Rhino.
7.Select TextObject command.
8.Make sure to select curves and allow single stroke font.
9.Select MecSoft_Font-1 from the list of fonts.
